Mary (Mother of Jesus)

Matthew 1:16; Mark 3:31; Luke 1:26-28; John 2:1; Acts 1:14

  • Matthew 1:16and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, who bore Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

  • Mark 3:31 Then his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him.

  • Luke 1:26-28 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.”

  • John 2:1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

  • Acts 1:14 All these were constantly devoting themselves to prayer, together with certain women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, as well as his brothers.
